Rett Weissenfels - Taylor Buchheit
We have been friends for more than fifteen years. We have played in bands together, made movies together, and now we make games together. Follow along with us as we learn this challenging, yet rewarding craft!
Rett has a passion for music and writing, and enjoys world building and game design. He also has experience running his own business, which is a valuable indie gamedev skill.
Taylor enjoys becoming a better programmer, and has used Game Dev's Quest to push him towards a software development career. He also enjoys pixel art, something he had never tried until starting the podcast.
Podcast
Our podcast began in February of 2017 with the purchase of a gamedev humble bundle and a desire to make our own games. Since then we have documented our weekly game development progress for over two years, interviewing numerous indie developers and creating a community with hundreds of beginners just like us along the way.

Game Jams
We host the One Mechanic Game Jam about three to four times per year. Since its inception, OMGJam has grown from getting only 3 game submissions in OMGJam1 to over 60 game submissions in OMGJam4, and over 160 games total! Keep a lookout on Twitter and our Discord Server for news on the next OMGJam.
